Fibrin Strands: An elastic, white protein that helps with clotting by forming and combining in bulk and plugs the bleed with other clotting factors.
Haemoglobin: Also spelled hemoglobin, a protein that allows the red blood cells to hold oxygen and gives them their bright red colour.
Tunica Intima: Composed of smooth endothelium and is covered in elastic tissues, it is the the inner lining of an artery/vein
Tunica Media: Composed of smooth muscle and elastic fibers, it is the middle lining of an artery/vein
Tunica Externa: Composed of connective tissue, collagen and elastic fibers, it is the strong, outer lining of arteries and veins.
Arterioles: Arteries get smaller and smaller as they get further from the heart. At a certain point, the arteries get so small they are referred to as arterioles. They are a minor category of blood vessels
